ICH Update 10/14/2020
Posted October 14, 2020 in NewsOn October 6, 2020 the Department of Social Services (DSS), which governs AL and Independent Living (IL), released detailed guidelines for testing, dining, activities and other topics. ICH is implementing these recommendations and will communicate any pertinent information to our residents/families.
The Skilled Nursing (SNF) continues to allow restricted visitation with safety protocols. These protocols include scheduling, checking in, specific visitation areas, personal protective equipment, social distancing, and staff monitoring. To schedule a visit or get information on specific protocols for SNF contact Imelda Reyes 909-467-6177.
The Cottages and Apartments (IL) are open to visitors. However, the DSS guidelines are different for IL residents that receive AL services. ICH staff will communicate individually with the IL residents that this affects and work with them in order to meet these specific guidelines. For all other IL residents, please continue to observe the following guidelines for Cottage and Apartment visitation:
- Visitors should take the most direct route to and from the unit being visited
- Do not visit if you are sick or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
- Wear a mask and social distance
- Keep visits to a minimum
- Keep the number of visitors to a minimum
The parking lot project directly east of the SNF has started. The project will add additional parking spaces in this area. This will be a fairly large project and will cause some inconveniences. Some things you should be aware of:
- The project will take about 60 days to complete
- The area will be completely fenced off, which means that there will be no foot or automobile traffic in or through the areas of the parking lot
- We plan to keep the circular driveway and parking spaces around the rose garden and flag pole open as much as possible, there may be a few days in which this will be impossible
- Visitors may need to use parking around the rear or west side of the SNF or other parking areas around the grounds
- Additional information will be provided as the project progresses
It clear that the pandemic is far from over and we must remain vigilant in our efforts to protect those that live at ICH.
ICH will continue to communicate with residents and update our website, www.ichome.org, with information for residents, families, and the general public.
Please continue to pray for ICH, the residents, employees, families, and Board of Directors.
Please contact Mary Wolff at 909-467-6152 and maryw@ichome.org with any questions.
Sincerely,
David Stienstra
Executive Director
